Take a break from everyday life and relax with lovely walks, saunas and geology. Here you will get time and space to thrive, unwind and appreciate the nature of Lugnåsberget plateau mountain. Breathing in and breathing out. There is an exciting history surrounding the mountain just waiting to be discovered.
Lugnåsberget is one of the smallest plateau mountains in Platåbergen Geopark. On the mountain there is a long tradition of hewing millstones from the distinctive gneiss rock formation.
At Lugnasberget Ecohotel you will be comfortable in your own room with en suite shower and WC, cooking your own meals in the communal kitchens and enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside. After a day of hiking you can enjoy the wood-fired sauna or take a cycle run to Lake Vristulven for a cooling dip.
During the 2 days you can hike or cycle in the lovely surroundings and then enjoy the wood-fired sauna.
If you hike Stenhuggarleden (The Stonecutters Trail) you will get to know a lot about the mountain through friendly information signs. Guided viewings and coffee breaks in the interesting setting of Qvarnstensgruvan (the Millstone Mine) are included in the package. Qvarnstensgruvan in Lugnås was named as a Swedish Geological Heritage, and 2012 Museum of Work of the Year.
